- I studied Ancient Greek at university because I wanted to read Homer in his own language.
- I’m fascinated by miniatures and tiny things, and am building my own dollhouse.
- I studied to be a journalist because I thought that would provide a more reliable income than writing. I hated it because I wasn’t telling my own stories, only repeating what somebody else had already said.
- If I wasn’t a writer, I would have been a marine biologist except that I get very, very sea sick. I’m also claustrophobic under water so that was never going to work out.
- I never ever look into a mirror in a dark room.

Will Hahn has been in love with heroic tales since age four, when his father read him the Lays of Ancient Rome and the Tales of King Arthur. He taught Ancient-Medieval History for years, but the line between this world and others has always been thin; the far reaches of fantasy, like the distant past, still bring him face to face with people like us, who have choices to make. Will didn't always make the right choices when he was young. Any stick or vaguely-sticklike object became a sword in his hands, to the great dismay of his five sisters. Everyone survived, in part by virtue of a rule forbidding him from handling umbrellas, ski poles, curtain rods and more. Will has written about the Lands of Hope since his college days (which by now are also part of ancient history). His first tales include "Three Minutes to Midnight" a slightly-dark sword and sorcery novelette, as well as “The Ring and the Flag” and "Fencing Reputation", the first stories in the ongoing Shards of Light series. The first novel-length tale of Hope, "The Plane of Dreams" was published in September 2012, and 2014 saw the serialized publication of the seminal epic "Judgement's Tale" beginning with "Games of Chance".

Deborah Jay writes fast-paced fantasy adventures featuring quirky characters and multi-layered plots – just what she likes to read. Fortunate to live near Loch Ness in the majestic, mystery-filled Scottish Highlands with her partner and a pack of rescue dogs, she can often be found lurking in secluded glens and forests, researching locations for her books. Her taste for the good things in life is kept in check by the expense of keeping too many dressage horses, and her complete inability to cook. THE PRINCE’S MAN is her debut novel; first in a trilogy and winner of a UK Arts Board award. Book #2, THE PRINCE'S SON, and #3, THE PRINCE'S PROTEGE, are also available, with the concluding book of the quartet, THE PRINCE'S HEIR due out on December 14th 2021. Also published are urban fantasy DESPRITE MEASURES and short story SPRITE NIGHT, both in the CALEDONIAN SPRITE series. She has published a multi-author SFF anthology which features her SF story, PERFECT FIT. She has non-fiction equestrian titles published under her professional name of Debby Lush. Tara Saunders finds it odd to write about herself in the third person She doesn't think the convention is morally objectionable as such, so she's going along with it good-naturedly. She's sure that she's done lots of interesting things in her life, but every one of them leaked out her ears the moment she sat at her keyboard to write about them. While her mental gears are frantically whirring, she hopes you'll be content to know that she lives in a little cottage in the West of Ireland with her hordes of children and an overabundance of elderly dogs. She hopes you'll come and chat to her on Twitter at @_Tara_Saunders_ or on Facebook at StormChildBooks. Even better, join her mailing list on www.tarasaunders.com, and not only will you be treated to semi-regular meanderings like this one, she'll also send you some entirely more focused short stories featuring the characters you love from the Tiarna Beo.
