Avoiding Fate
2016
A Soulmates Prequel
In a world where the name of your soulmate appears on your skin on your 18th birthday, Mackenzie “Kenzie” Eaglen III discovers what life is like when your soulmate rejects you. It’s decidedly lonely. Though not unhappy with his job and estranged from his indifferent mother and convicted white-collar criminal father, Kenzie lives out his days in a never-ending loop of utter sameness. When a sudden injury occurs, Kenzie is forced to make some changes. One of those changes leads him to the friendship of a very charming young doctor with sparkling gray eyes. Alas Fate isn’t finished with Kenzie and he soon learns there’s much more to his new friend than he first thought. Avoiding Fate is a prequel of sorts to the Soulmates books. The story deals with a family suicide and is not meant for readers under the age of 18 due to language and sexual content. Qs? Taylorhbooks@gmail.com

Literally Soulmates
2015
Quiet, simple Bennett thought he had life all figured out. On his 18th birthday, his soulmate's name would appear on his wrist and he would go down to Central and register her name. And if she wasn't 18 yet, well then he'd just wait for her until she was and woke up with his name over her heart. That’s the way it was and the way it had always been…or so he thought. But the morning of his 18th birthday comes around and something unexpected happens. Bennett realizes that he doesn't have a name on his wrist. Oh he has a name all right, but for some reason it’s over his heart. And the name? It’s a man’s name. Bennett had never heard of same-sex soulmates before. Was there a mistake? Has soulmating ever been wrong before? Nothing appears to happen when he decides to register anyway. Bennett hopes it means that he’s older than his soulmate and not that his soulmate has decided not to register, guaranteeing a life of loneliness for them both. Then it happens. He gets the notice and Gabriel’s on his way. Gabriel: tall, athletic, Brazilian; turns 18 on vacation with his family and can’t wait to rush back and meet his soulmate when he’s told he’s already registered. Bennett Ainsley. Just staring at the name gets Gabriel hard. As the youngest of seven, he’s waited a lifetime to meet his soulmate. Man or woman doesn’t matter to Gabriel: he knows the drill and he’s prepared to be deliriously happy—and sexually sated—for the rest of his life. In the middle of dinner one typical evening Bennett hears a knock at the door that makes his heart race. He knows this is it. He’s about to meet Gabriel and his life is going to be changed forever. He hears a deep, melodic voice saying his name. Drawn to the sound, Bennett crosses to the doorway and his eyes meet Gabriel’s for the first time. Simple brown meets crystal-clear green and Bennett is breathless. Can shy, inexperienced Bennett overcome his doubts or will Gabriel’s strong personality and insatiable lust scare him away? Contains sexual situations intended for mature audiences only 18+.

Three's Company

With both his brothers off and living their lives with their soulmates, Jacob has only to sit and wait for his own. Or so he’s been told. Jacob may be excited to meet his one true soulmate but there’s no way in hell he’s just going to sit and wait around. With years of experience under his belt (literally), Jacob prepares for his 18th birthday like every other person but when it comes, something feels off. Waaay off. The tattoos aren’t supposed to hurt, are they? And why does he have tattoos plural? Be prepared to meet wild and feisty southern girl Ariel along with model-like genius Jaemin as they join boy-next-door Jacob in the world’s first pairing of three soulmates. This is the sequel to Literally Soulmates and follows the story of Jacob, Bennett’s fun and outgoing younger brother. There are many references to the first book and is intended to be read together. Second Mate
2017
Romeo Morgan was perfectly happy with his life. Sure his parents were older than most when they had him and passed away when he was ten, but that just meant his older brother was like having another (less strict) father. And sure the house he lived in was falling apart, but it was a mansion that was built by a famous architect. What more could Romeo ask for? Certainly not for his brother and brother-in-law to be killed in a plane crash on his 18th birthday, leaving him as guardian for their two young children. When the law gets involved and Romeo is given a deadline to fix the house or lose the kids, who can he turn to for help? Suddenly he remembers his soulmate and imagines some rich debutante who’ll swoop in and take care of all his problems. But as Romeo has learned so far, life never does what he expects and rather than the affluent stranger who can fix everything, Romeo discovers that is soulmate is actually someone he already knows—and not someone he likes all that much in the first place. Reluctantly yet gratefully relying on the help of his community, Romeo finally thinks he has everything all figured out. Which is of course when life steps in and again throws a wrench in everything he knows. Is he willing to fight for a soulmate he may not actually like, or is Romeo prepared to sacrifice his own dreams in order for his kids to achieve theirs? Second Mate is a standalone novel set in the universe of the Soulmates series. It is to be read alone. Contains explicit material and is not meant for readers under 18.
