Un programa detector de plagios ha determinado que su tesis doctoral fue escrita por Otto Octavius, también conocido como Doctor Octopus (quien, en aquel momento, le habia robado el cuerpo a Pete... Todos lo sabiamos, Verdad ? ), asi que le han revocado el titulo y le han despedido del Daily Bugle. Ahora tiene la oportunidad de conseguir un trabajo en la Universidad Empire State, pero el trabajo viene con ciertas cargas, Así que los barrios empiezan a dejar de ser amables... ! veremos como consigue sobrevivir Peter!
