Esme Carpenter

Esme Carpenter started writing at the age of 12 and found she couldn’t stop. She graduated from the University of East Anglia with a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing and became an English teacher, but she continued to write fantasy and science fiction works in her spare time. Her first novel, Against the Elements, was published in 2012 by IFWG Publishing. They also published her short story, Azurewrath, in SQ Mag. Her science fiction story, Harry’s Shiver, was published by Shoreline of Infinity and went on to be featured in NewCon Press’s Best of British Science Fiction in 2016. She lives in Bakersfield, California with her husband, two cats and LEGO Batmobile figurines.
