Halcyon Nights
2012
When astrobiologist Jules Rammis returns to Earth after saving the Terran colony on planet Tartarus from a demented member of the Loranth race, he hopes to spend some quiet time with his six-year-old daughter Lisa, whom, he finds, has inherited his own telepathic skills. But a powerful denizen of planet Halcyon summons them both to his pristine world to destroy a Terran ravager, the Dream Czar of Halcyon. Jules demands to know why his daughter should be involved in this murderous plot. The alien responds that human telepaths are rare, and that he needs them for his plan. When Jules refuses to take Lisa on such a dangerous mission, the infuriated alien threatens to kill them both and destroy the treacherous community of Terrans on Halcyon. Given no choice, Jules takes Lisa aboard a spaceship headed for Halcyon. But the prospect of exposing his young daughter to unknown dangers keeps Jules more anxious than when he faced the Loranth of Tartarus.

Spears of the Sun
2013
It’s not that Jules looks for trouble. As an astrobiologist, he’d rather study an intriguing alien species of a plant/animal called blackroot found on planet Halcyon. But his telepathic abilities attract the wrong aliens and Terrans. This time, it’s General Ki Rowdinth, the crazed leader of the Vermakt people of planet Fartherland. This psychotic tyrant intends to extort the combined gold depositories of Earth and all the colony planets to finance an army that will rule the worlds. If planet Alpha, the seat of the Worlds Government, doesn’t agree to Rowdinth’s demands, he vows to engage a dark-energy weapon that will destroy Earth. It looks as though only Jules, with his powerful telepathic abilities, stands between the rat-like general and the total annihilation of our homeworld, planet Earth.
