Stephen Palmer is the author of twenty novels: Memory Seed (Orbit 1996; Infinity Plus ebooks 2013), Glass (Orbit 1997; Infinity Plus ebooks 2013), Flowercrash (Wildside 2002; Infinity Plus ebooks 2013), Muezzinland (Wildside 2003; Infinity Plus ebooks 2011), Hallucinating (Wildside 2004; Infinity Plus ebooks 2011), as Bryn Llewellyn, The Rat And The Serpent (Prime Books 2005; Infinity Plus ebooks 2012) and Urbis Morpheos (PS Publishing 2010). His eighth novel, the surreal and fast-paced Hairy London, was published as a paperback and ebook in 2014, while the ninth, Beautiful Intelligence, was published in 2015, also by Infinity Plus Books, as was the subsequent short novel No Grave For A Fox. In 2016, Infinity Plus published his alternate-world, steampunk Factory Girl trilogy: The Girl With Two Souls / The Girl With One Friend / The Girl With No Soul. In 2018 IP published Tommy Catkins, then in 2019 a return to SF and themes of AI and algorithms The Autist. In 2019 IP also published The Conscientious Objector, set in the Factory Girl world. Woodland Revolution was a meditation on death, while in 2021 IP published his steampunk Conjuror Girl trilogy. His short stories have been published by Spectrum, Wildside, NewCon, Unspoken Water, Mutation Press, Solaris, Theakers, Eibonvale, Dog Horn, Manchester Speculative Fiction, PS Publishing, Future Care Charity and elsewhere. In 2019, Newcon Press published his first collection of short stories, the Memory Seed-themed Tales From The Spired Inn. His first non-fiction book on Tangerine Dream was published in 2021.
