Steven McCloud is a student of high-performance teams. He owns Trident Leadership, a consultancy for corporate and government organizations, and is Honorary Member of Fox Co., 2nd Bn., 23rd Marines. His background as a tour guide influences his writing. Over the span of 20 years, he has led numerous WWII expeditions through the Pacific and Europe, and conducts leadership experiences at destinations including Normandy and Chickamauga. Marine Corps legend, Col. John S. Ripley, as Head of the History and Museums Division, called McCloud, “the very best historian/guide I have seen on any tour. Light years ahead of the average.” McCloud takes the same scene-setting approach to his lectures and writing. "Readers or clients are your guests," says McCloud. "They're following you on a journey. They don't need you to be a firehose of information. They need to "see" what's around them, and understand what they are seeing. Then they'll get it." McCloud earned his BS in Marketing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He's a self-proclaimed generalist: writer, speaker, historian, photographer, composer, pianist, guitarist, singer, graphic designer, cyclist, tennis player who sees Leadership lessons in everything.
