STINGAREE is the story of an an outlaw, similar in many ways to 'Raffles,' but with a ruthless streak. Set in Australia, Stingaree is a swashbuckling outlaw fighting a one-man war against authority. Along the way, he finds love with an impoverished servant girl who works for cruel and uncaring employers. Ernest William Hornung (1866-1921) was an English author and brother-in-law to Arthur Conan Doyle. An accomplished writer, Hornung is most famous for writing the Raffles series of novels about a gentleman thief in late Victorian London. This unexpurgated edition contains the complete text, with minor errors and omissions corrected.
