No one can know what happened on my sixteenth birthday, what really happened to my old coven. I’ve built myself a pretty nice life. I have a business as an independent acquisitions expert and fixer (that’s thief and bounty hunter in less polite company). When a client hires me to find a couple of stolen magical artifacts, it seems like a straightforward job. Then it turns out that she didn’t just hire me, she hired my biggest rival, too. Elijah, alpha of the Sentinels pack. He’s as sexy as he is infuriating. Working together seems like the most logical option. The problem is soon dead bodies start piling up alongside the stolen artifacts. The new thief in town isn’t my only problem. Someone has been digging into the disappearance of my old coven. If they find out the truth about who and what I am, my carefully constructed life will be over. At best, I’ll be hunted to the ends of the Earth. At worst, the fae will have me begging for death. Together Elijah and I must unravel the mystery of the new thief and murderer before my past is brought out into the light and everything comes tumbling down around us.

It looks like my past is coming back to bite me. On the surface, things look pretty damn good. I have a great pack around me, Castor’s happier than he’s ever been, and something’s building between Elijah and me. Beneath that is the looming threat of my past. Someone knows who I really am, and possibly what I became. Of course, the play must go on, which brings us to my next client. A jaguar guardian has hired Elijah and me to find a clay pot. It sounds pretty simple. After all, what can a clay plot possibly do? End the world as we know it. That’s what. Nothing’s ever as simple as it seems. I must try and juggle my new life, the fate of the world, and my past, all while making sure no one else gets hurt. It’s a good thing I’m a badass, else I might break a sweat.

It’s time to step up and remind everyone that we’re the best in town. The local fae lord hired us to find out who’s been setting fires and killing fae. At first it sounded like an interesting challenge. It’s not every day we track down a firebug. Then news reached us that we weren’t the only ones he hired. The gauntlet had been thrown. It was us versus the fae. A sensible pack might have bowed out, but we had a point to prove. With the goddess looming over us and the city showing where its allegiances really lie, this fight was going to go down in the history books.

The final step in Lily and Elijah’s story. Lily knew that this time would come. There was no way to prepare, not for this. Lily and the pack will take on their greatest foe to date. Whatever happens, nothing will ever be the same again.
