This series is a spinoff of the Bruised Series. Baltimore Detectives Dee Quarter and Connie Wilks spring into action when a woman is strangled to death. The investigation immediately leads to Dee’s ex, Grayson, who still wants her. As if Grayson isn’t enough to deal with, the case brings Dee to Jonathan Wild, the leader of a cult called The Circle. The charismatic Jonathan is unlike any man Dee’s ever met and his interest in the feisty cop goes beyond the case, threatening Dee’s romance with Winston Lewis. Baltimore Detectives Dee and Connie hunt to find Boyce Vickers, a man who has recently gone missing. The more the detectives dive into Boyce’s life, it becomes obvious that there is more to his case than meets the eye. When her jealousy of Lisa causes friction in her and Winston’s relationship, Dee finds sanctuary with The Circle. Though she swears she won’t be taken in by Jonathan’s relentless advances, Dee is hopelessly drawn to the charms of the community. Yet, after Jonathan tries to force her into an initiation ceremony, Dee realizes she’s in danger and vows never to return to the compound. Winston warns Jonathan to stay away from Dee, but after Dee goes missing, Winston’s convinced Jonathan is behind her disappearance. Winston fights to save Dee and get Jonathan out of their lives forever, but Jonathan’s obsessed and vows to make Dee his no matter the cost.
