At the age of 11 years old, Sumeya Abdi Ali started off writing comic books in her bedroom to cure her own boredom. By the time she was 17, she started her Wattpad account and began posting on the site to share stories with the world. In 2015, Ali won a Watty Award for Ditching Greek for the New Adult Genre. Disarming Dakota is her debut novel. She's gained a little over twenty million reads online. She writes Young Adult, New Adult, and Contemporary Romance. Currently, Ali attends UCLA for a degree in History and lives with her husband in LA.
