This tenth short story collection, curated by the science fiction connoisseurs at Planet Scumm, has a little something for everyone—in fact, with its double-dose of stories, we hope there are several somethings for everyone! Planet Scumm #10 "Supergiant-X" features 10 original short sci-fi stories from international authors. Lethal haute couture and militarized cleaning services? We’ve got that. Titan-sized war machines and megafauna? You’ll find a couple. Plus pet-stealing aliens, exorcism-for-hire, world-ending AIs, malevolent doormen, mirror universe tourism, and phantasmal migration. To be honest, this collection is so big, it’s entirely possible one of Scummy’s brood hid something in there that we didn’t notice. If you hear any odd noises coming out of the table of contents, or notice an occasional bulge under the cover, you might want to proceed with caution. Actually, forget caution—throw this bad boy wide open! If things get dicey, this issue can also serve as a weighty improvised weapon.

Sam Rebelein holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College (with a focus on Horror and Memoir), a certificate of graduation from the Lubbock Area Square & Round Dance Federation, and that one trophy in The Last of Us Part II for when you beat the game on the hardest difficulty. Hard to say which of these is his greatest accomplishment. His award-nominated story "Black Fanged Thing" was listed as a stand-out piece of 2018 on Barnes & Noble's "Sci-fi & Fantasy Blog."
