
Susan Allott is a critically acclaimed author whose debut novel, ‘The Silence’, was published internationally by Harper Collins in 2020. ‘The Silence’ was longlisted for the Crime Writers Association New Blood Dagger Award. In Italy, ‘The Silence’ was published as ‘Una Vita Migliore’, and in France as ‘Des Vies Volees’. Susan is an English Literature graduate, studying at Leeds University and then Goldsmiths College. She later went on to complete the Faber Academy Writing a Novel course, where she worked on the novel which became ‘The Silence’. Since publication, Susan has sought opportunities to mentor aspiring writers, and to edit manuscripts for those seeking representation. She enjoys passing on the guidance that helped her to achieve her goal of publication, and loves to see others succeed. Before she was published, Susan had a long career in advocacy in the disability and equalities sector, supporting disadvantaged people to believe in themselves and achieve their aspirations.
