Many years ago, in a grade school library, Todd Alan Ellington checked out a book about pirates. That story kindled a love of reading and yearning for adventure that lasted through high school, a tour of the Persian Gulf courtesy of the United States Army, and eventually drove him to pursue a journalism degree from the University of Nebraska. After graduating and discovering how little journalists are paid, Todd turned his attention to fiction—hoping to channel his love of books and lifetime of misadventures into a career. He calls Omaha, Nebraska home, but travels when he can, and binge-watches sci-fi shows when he can’t.
