Tom Connolly was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He studied business administration at Northeastern University and organization development at Manhattanville where he received his Master of Science degree. He served in the US Air Force for four years and was stationed at Ramstein Air Base, Germany and New Delhi, India. After a career with IBM he started his own firm, Thundercloud Consulting Group, primarily focused on higher education transformation. Prime clients were Tufts, Brandeis and MIT. The process of creating a story is enormously satisfying - giving life to characters, having them develop as real people with feelings; being able to give them expression. Watching these characters deal with obstacles in a plot, I sometimes ask myself, "Would I do that." And then I wonder where their ability to act as they did came from, particularly if it is something alien to me or my behavior. I enjoy when they fall in love, how they express it. And I try to ease their pain when that love is interrupted.
