Tasher along with co-author Tony Haynes published a 3 book series called ‘Divorced and Scared No More’. The main objective of this book was to help in dealing with a divorce. No two people will have identical situations, hopefully the DASNM series will assist others with the least amount of trepidation, during this difficult transition. Tasher is not a professional therapist, rather she is sharing because she has “been there and done that” understanding how it FEELS. Therapist and clinical author Justin Nutt LSCSW, LAC consults as her technical advisor. Insuring everything presented be accurate and quality material while still being a comforting, easy-to-read guide to surviving divorce. Tammy Asher was born on November 14, in Flint, Michigan to Mary and Houston Asher. She has one older brother named C. Robert Asher. She lived on a farm in Linden, Michigan until she was in middle school. Her family moved to the suburbs of Flint closer to the factories her parents worked in. Tasher suffered from undiagnosed mild dyslexia until her high school teacher, Ms. Burdick recognized the symptoms and sent her for diagnoses. Ms. Burdick had a big impact of Tasher’s view of the reading disorder. She taught Tasher how to use various strategies and techniques along with technical aids to help with the management of dyslexia. Upon graduation from Ainsworth High School, she went on to Northwood University in Midland, Michigan. After graduation, Tasher was hired by General Motors Corporation in their Memphis Zone. She married on January 14, in Columbus, Mississippi and the couple had 3 children together. Her ex-husband was a pilot in the USAF and relocated from Columbus Mississippi to San Antonio Texas. At which time Tasher decided to quit her job as a district manager for General Motors Parts Division and became a stay at home mother. Until, Tasher was divorced on her 26th wedding anniversary, and she embarked on a new life. Her marriage was broken all to pieces, she was not going to let the divorce break her. Tasher quickly discovered that single life was very different from all those years ago. Like many, she initially was scared. Yet she was determined to become Divorce and Scared NO More! After moving to Houston and despite her dyslexia, she decided to share with others things she learned while rebuilding her life. The launch of DASNM.com quickly received a worldwide following. The logo was inspired by a set of broken pilot wings. Tasher launched the website and became a frequent contributor to various online magazines.
