A grand Tennessee plantation house, Moncoeur was filled with the legends and secrets of its stormy history. But it was not until the mysterious death of her sister that Fable Devereux began to lose herself in that past, in dreams of the Civil War and a long-forgotten love. Swept into the tumultuous life and times of her ancestor Deirdre O'Shea, Fable relived a night of sweet ecstasy with Andre Devereux, never guessing that their delicious passion would have the power to cross the ages. Caught between swirling visions of a distant desire and a troubled reality filled with betrayal, Fable sought the answers that would set her free—answers that could only be found in the tender embrace of two men who lived a century apart.
