ABOUT THE AUTHOR Thalia Lopes is a high-fantasy and dark-fantasy author of Sera Blue and is the author of The Progenitor Trilogy, with the first book, Shadows of Carnage, being released this year. She has three other planned series that will be released in the future: The Seraphim Series, The Precursor Series, and The Requiem Series. Thalia is a Portuguese-South African from Pretoria, born in 1995. She is a geneticist and microbiologist who is a member of the Golden Key Society and assisted in the Facial Morphology research program known as ALFAH. Thalia is a black belt and Sensei that has been practising Shotokan Karate for sixteen years and is a Karate World Champion. When she was younger, she used to have a strong American accent she picked up from watching the Simpsons and South Park. She is also a fan of anime, cosplay, Supernatural, Game of Thrones, Warhammer 40K, H.P. Lovecraft, H.R. Giger, Brandon Sanderson, Brent Weeks, Sarah J. Maas and Mark Lawrence. Thalia has a supportive and loving family that are the foundation for her moral compass and she thanks them for her accomplishments, especially her mother. At a young age, she enjoyed watching old sitcoms and The Universe with her father, as well as listening to political podcasts; they often discuss politics, history, and science with each other. Her mother and aunt inspired her love for mythology, theology, music, art, and sparked her interest for the paranormal. Her older brother, Jason and his graphic novel series, the Cypren Race, inspired her to start writing her first series, The Requiem Series, at the age of thirteen. Although she first started writing The Requiem Series, The Progenitor Trilogy is the first one to be published. Thalia looks up to her older brother and they share the same dark sense of humour and enjoy watching horror movies together
