Nevada, 1955. Henry Carlisle is the kind of doctor you want on your side when your country is preparing for the end of the world. He certainly can't cure your ailments but he can probably help you not die in a nuclear fireball once bombs start being tossed back and forth like baseballs during a pre-game warmup. At least, it looked that way for his first few months of work. Once they found a body in his "Doom Town", all bets were off. Carlisle quickly found himself in the midst of a federal investigation, trying to salvage his career and still make something that could be considered a life for himself. Life can become difficult when you've got a secret that threatens everything you've ever known. Carlisle discovered rather quickly that nuclear war planning was the least complicated part of his life. That, it seems, makes for an interesting state of affairs.
