This short story follows Ada, an innocent seventeen-year-old girl who receives terrible news: her father has lost his job and the farm’s soil is polluted, next to nothing grows. With no income, her family is sure to starve. Ada meets a fairy who has sent her a message from her master: he wants to offer Ada a way to save her family. Who is this master? Why does he want to help Ada’s family? More importantly, what does he want in return?
