When my mom marries a man she doesn't know, we move to the tiny town of Bishop, buried deep in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. There's something wrong with this place. But it's not the creepy townsfolk that scare me, or even my new stepdad, who definitely runs some kind of cult. The real monster is his son. He wants me to leave Bishop. There's supposed to be a creature that roams the woods, eating human souls. But maybe the only way to keep my soul safe is to let my stepbrother claim it first.
