When seventeen-year-old Asher Miller has to transfer schools yet again, she ends up at Mighton High. The school is like any other that she’s been to, save for Rory Denvers – the eighteen-year-old boy who has recently gone blind in a mysterious accident. After colliding into him on the first day of school, it’s clear that Rory Denvers wants nothing to do with Ash, and she’s content for things to remain that way. To Ash, he is surly, rude, and arrogant. But as their mutual annoyance shifts into something deeper, Ash finds that she’s incapable of leaving Rory alone – and much to her surprise, the feelings are mutual.
