After Katie Boles finds names that might exonerate her brother, she goes in search of the people listed in his diary. However, tracking down a copycat killer isn’t as easy as it looks in the movies. The first one turns up dead, then her deputy-bodyguard goes missing, and then more bodies appear – along with a face-to-face confrontation with a man who may be the serial killer. Her skirmish with the man leads to some major revelations in the case and possibly a solution to the murders.
