During the holidays everyone hopes to be happy, but not all get their wish. Joy Winter’s plan for a peaceful December was derailed when a secret affair is exposed, and she gets expelled from college. Joy knows her parents will be furious, so she reaches out to her big sister Natasha, who lives in Detroit with her boyfriend Bliss. Natasha quickly offers help to her sister and Joy sets off to Detroit hoping to turn her life and December around. What Joy doesn’t realize is that life is still happening for everyone whether it was the holidays or not, and that alone made her arrival to Detroit that much colder. With snow under her feet, and newfound problems everywhere, this December seems to be the coldest one yet. Will life, love, and marriage last this winter, or will the avalanche of problems ruin the supposed most wonderful time of the year?
