Omnitech's puppet Federation, has taken control of all but two of the Great Cities and decimated the Outland communities. The Resistance is all that stands in their way, but as its leadership succumbs to the trappings of politics and bureaucracy, it falls to the notorious band of former smugglers to turn the tide. On the front lines of battle, Gray is forced to take responsibility for fashioning a strategy that can win the war, while Andrew searches desperately for a way to counter Omnitech's compliance protocol and free his robot brothers. Meanwhile Lucy, Rob, Reg and Tommy attack the source of Omnitech's newest weapons: the crash site of an alien ship.
