Whoever convinced me to eat at the food truck on campus needs to be covered in honey and left out for the ants because the guy that runs it? He’s a total asshole. Granted, I might have pissed him off by overstepping my bounds, but I was trying to do him a favor. After all, he’s Deaf and I’m an interpreter here at the college so why wouldn’t I help out when he needs it? Which, okay, maybe he didn’t ask for help, but I was distracted by his gorgeous smile and his biceps. Sue me. It doesn’t take long for me to learn his name: Mellie. Or what he likes to do for fun: work out at the gym. But it does take a little patience and an incident with a vicious wasp for both of us to figure out that while we might come from different worlds, we have a lot of shared interests. Namely making out in the back of his truck. And it also doesn’t take long for either of us to realize we definitely want more.
