After Steve Taylor and his friend fall through a far portal into the parallel world of Eldarn, Steve must save his companion and the people of Eldarn from Nerak, the fallen Larion dictator, by returning to Idaho Springs and retrieving the Lessek's key—for if the magical key falls into Nerak's hands, the lives of untold millions, in both of Steven's worlds, will be lost.
