Cherie Justus is one of the tallest, toughest women in Sawyerville. Even though she arrived as a prospective bride for a logger, she has yet to meet the kind of man she wants – a man who'll leave her to run things. She meets her match in a tall, strong logger named Brian Rockford, who can swing an ax better than anyone and knows that a strong woman is needed in a place like Sawyerville. But it remains to be seen whether Cherie will insist on being the boss and lose a good man, or whether she'll allow the strong-willed Brian to lead their dance. And the turning point for both of them is, surprisingly enough, one little lost cat.
