It's the first day for summer intern Michael Glazer. Young and naïve, Michael’s dream of a glamorous job in the theater is turned on its head when he walks into the murky world of an ancient Burlesque palace. When his new boss sends him on an errand backstage Michael finds himself drawing the attention of two men who immediately spin him in circles: darkly brooding stage manager Ford, and angelic silk aerialist Semyon. But the danger Michael feels isn't all in his imagination, and by the end of the day Michael won't be the same man he was when he arrived. This story was written as a part of the M/M Romance Group's "Love’s Landscapes" event. Group members were asked to write a story prompt inspired by a photo of their choice.
