Chris Marie Green brings you an urban fantasy novelette that’s full of paranormal thrills and exhilarating action! A young woman wakes up in a strange hotel room in New Orleans with no memory of who she is, where she’s been, or what she’s doing there. All she has are a pair of boots that she can’t seem to take off. As she takes steps to uncover her identity, she realizes that she might’ve stolen the shoes, and the bad-boy psychic she’s enlisted could be luring her into the clutches of a powerful, very ticked-off backwoods sorceress who wants them back.... *This short novelette is approximately 13,500 words with a brief excerpt of the sequel novel at the end.* Dear Reader, Some of you have read my Vampire Babylon series, and you’re already familiar with this “girl who has no name.” She made an appearance in a Dawn Madison novella, Raising the Darkness, but what happened to her after she literally got burned in that story then disappeared? You’ll get an answer in “The Girl with No Name.” When I was invited to write this novelette for the Kicking It urban fantasy collection, I decided that this character was too fun to die—she had too many adventures left in her. So in this story she becomes her own heroine. But a novelette about her wasn’t enough, so I wrote a novel about her called Shadows Till Sunrise. I hope you check it out, because I’d love to write even more urban fantasy romances about her and Philippe! If you’re a new reader, this story is the perfect way to enter this world. Welcome! Best, Chris
