The High School Freshmen; or, Dick & Co.'s First Year Pranks and Sports
1910
"This series of stories, based on the actual doings of High School boys, teems with incidents in athletics and school-boy fun. The real Americanism of Dick Prescott and his chums will excite the admiration of every reader."
#2
The High School Pitcher; or, Dick & Company on the Gridley Diamond
1910
Clang! "Attention, please." The barely audible droning of study ceased promptly in the big assembly room of the Gridley High School. The new principal, who had just stepped into the room, and who now stood waiting behind his flat-top desk on the platform, was a tall, thin, severe-looking man of thirty-two or three. "Mr. Harper," almost rasped out Mr. Cantwell's voice, "stop rustling that paper."
#3
The High School Left End; or, Dick & Co. Grilling on the Football Gridiron
1910
All six members of Dick a Co. were present. The scene of the meeting was Dick Prescott's own room at his home over the bookstore kept by his parents. The hour was about nine o'clock in the evening. It was Friday evening of the first week of the new school year...
#4
The High School Captain of the Team; or, Dick & Co. Leading the Athletic Vanguard
1910
In the first year at High School the boys, being mere freshmen, could not expect to enter any of the school's athletic teams. Yet, as our readers know, Dick and his friends found many a quiet way to boost local interest and pride in High School athletics.
