“I am not attractive enough. I am not funny enough. I am not smart, athletic, or interesting enough. I am not spiritual enough or relevant enough. I am not enough. This is one of the most common lies often associated with singleness. Have you ever been stuck in the dangerous “I am not enough” cycle? It is quite unenjoyable if you ask me. I remember visiting a carnival when I was younger and enthusiastically buckling my seat belt on the Tilt-a-Whirl ride (which I think should be renamed Tilt-a-Hurl!). Once the ride started, I quickly felt disoriented, a little queasy, and no longer enthusiastic. That is how it feels when I get stuck in the “I am not enough” cycle. I can become really disoriented from reality and truth, and sometimes it does make me want to hurl a little. The only way I have figured out how to get off that unenjoyable ride is to look at Jesus. To truly set time apart and let Him speak truth over me. He is always so faithful to remind me that I am enough, simply because I am His.” Megan links arms with 30 friends who have courageously put their stories of singleness on paper.
