"Before our story continues, I must make one detail abundantly clear. I am now, and have always been, deeply in love with one Mr. Sherlock Holmes." Dr. John Watson invites us once again to 221B Baker Street on a most auspicious day; a mere six months since moving in with Sherlock Holmes, Watson has finally decided that he will tell his dearest friend the truth of his feelings. A daunting task, to be sure, but one that Watson feels he must tackle if he is ever to know peace again. But before he has the opportunity, Holmes is greeted with a client, and a new case. Mr. Hobb, the custodian for the Redfield Library, has been found dead. The library itself is suspect, as it has been reported to be haunted for months. Coupled with the fact that Mr. Hobb suffered no apparent injuries and is in relatively good health, and the case of the literate specter is a puzzling one indeed.
