When Ushijima Wakatoshi takes control of the Shiratorizawa Syndicate, Semi expects things to remain largely the same. He is proven wrong when Ushijima accepts a new member into his inner circle, one with a wide smile and a dangerous fascination with knives. Semi is given the responsibility of turning Tendou Satori into a valuable member of Shiratorizawa, and despite his initial disdain, he discovers that he and Tendou have more in common than he would care to admit.
