Michele Hauf
Michele Hauf
Author · 78 books

Michele has been writing romance, action-adventure and fantasy stories for over twenty years. Her first published novel was DARK RAPTURE. France, musketeers, vampires and faeries populate her stories. And if she followed the adage 'write what you know', all her stories would have snow in them. Fortunately, she steps beyond her comfort zone and writes about countries she has never visited and of creatures she has never seen. Michele also writes as Michele Renae, and you can find her erotica, chick lit, and Harlequin Romance titles at your favorite online retailer. —From the author's website bio

I’ve read many bios that start with the words “I wanted to be a writer all of my life and wrote my first story at the age of five.” I honestly can’t say that’s true for me—at the age of five, as an only child growing up on a farm, my career goal was to be a princess. Unfortunately, all those positions happened to be filled, so I followed the path so many other women have traveled—marriage, children, a career outside of the home—in my case, with the United States Postal Service. It wasn’t until the tender of age of 48 that I really decided to try my hand at writing. My first attempt was a disastrous romance novella, and I might have given up had it not been for my late husband’s suggestion that I give mysteries a try. He pointed out my knack at spoiling movies for him by deducing how they would end. (Hey, it’s no fun being clever if you can’t share, right?) I combined his suggestion with my life long interest in the paranormal, and Ophelia and Abby were born. And in the end, creating the series helped carry me through a very difficult time. Now seven years later, I still live in the same small town that I have for over twenty years, still have a career as Postmaster, and my grown children, with their children, all live within driving distance. I still enjoy gardening, reading, and needlepoint, but my world is larger thanks to Ophelia and Abby. Becoming an author has been the ride of a lifetime, and one for which I’ll always be grateful.

Elissa Wilds

Elissa Wilds is an award-winning author of....blah, blah, blah...Okay, I just can't write about myself in third person. It's too darn serious, and I recommend avoiding taking yourself too seriously. I'll begin again. I write paranormal romantic fiction and metaphysical/new age non-fiction. I enjoy investigating all things paranormal and incorporating what I learn into my stories. I hold Bachelor degrees in Communication and English/Creative Writing and a Master's degree in Communication. What you should know about my writing: I tend to see the world a bit differently and my stories reflect it. I love unique stories and unusual worlds that may not necessarily fit easily into one particular genre. The good news is, if you, too, dance to a different drum and hum a different tune, you may enjoy my stories. I hope you will, but I know that reading (and writing for that matter) are deeply personal experiences. I'm often asked what I like most about writing. There are too many to list, but here's one of the top 5: I can write my stories sitting in my pajamas in the middle of the night or at a coffee shop on Sunday afternoon while sipping chai tea latte. In addition to writing, I enjoy singing, reading, learning to play guitar, meditating, spending time with my family, and playing in nature as much and as often as possible. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT MY REVIEWS: While I have deep appreciation for the time, effort, and sheer fortitude that goes into writing reviews for works you love, hate, and/or feel rather "blah" about, I personally only rate books I've liked a lot or loved. So, you won't see 1, 2, or even 3 star reviews on my page. The flip side is, I share with you only those books I've actually read, found delightful, and am passionate enough about to share with you. Enough said, yes? Rockin' reading (to my fellow avid readers) and colossal creating (to all you writer-type peeps out there)! May your bookshelves be ever over-flowing, and may you always have a good book close at hand.
