An ageing actress relives her youth struggling to get even minor parts. Her neighbour is a part-time model running away from a strict religious family, and an abusive husband. They bond in friendship as the city of angels delivers to both of them what they want. Sarah finds one true love even though they eventually separate. Their union creates one daughter. They reunite in the twilight of their life for one last chance at love. A depressed screenwriter is given one last chance to begin living again when he writes a script that Sarah gives her last performance.
