This is a pseudonym for Joseph Lawrence Morrissey, who also wrote under the pseudonym Henry Richards. J.L. Morrissey was born in the United Kingdom, but became a resident of the United States later in life. His work began with thrillers, published in the 1930s and 1940s, then focused on science fiction in the 1960s, which he is perhaps best known for. He died in the UK in Fleetwood, Lancashire in 1981.
