Set in 12th Century Germany, the Malachi are the vampire slayers of the Catholic church. The story is centered on three brothers of the Kael, a young gypsy; LeGrande, a French aristocrat; and Dennis, an aging German knight. While the Malachi investigate paranormal events, the Third Crusade begins—led by Frederick Barbarossa of Germany. And the landscape of medieval Europe will never be the same.
