"Laura Webster appeared to have everything; stunning beauty, intelligence, wealth, privilege and a promising career as a photo journalist. Until the day her life changes radically. While on assignment in a working class district with her homosexual friend, David, they inadvertently wander into a bar and are set on by the sadistic Pete Radeki and his mates. They are saved by two strangers, one of whom is Rob McCulloch, with feral good looks and honourable intentions. They argue about the differences of their status and, somehow, find themselves on a date. Soon, Laura falls deeper and deeper under Rob’s spell. There are problems, though. Don Stewart-Campbell, a social climbing police detective and Laura’s former lover, hadn’t accepted their separation. He devises a sinister plot, capitalizing on Laura’s innocence in all things sordid. So great does his obsession become, he decides if he can’t have her, then no one will. Rob must then win a desperate race against time to save the woman he loves from Pete’s horrific vengeance. "
