In the facility, my memories and emotions are kept from me by the injections I receive daily. I don’t know where I’m from or who I was before this place. I only know what is expected of me in here. I push the boundaries, perhaps subconsciously, so I can feel something, even if it is pain. That all changes the day I meet Khascex. He isn’t like the other guards. In fact, he doesn’t belong here. But when he saves me from an attack, I feel something strange in the pit of my stomach. Unlike other males, he holds me gently against him and promises to keep me safe. There are a lot of things I don’t understand about this alien world, but my instincts tell me to stay close to Khascex so that’s what I’m going to do. His touches are pleasing, awakening feelings inside of me that I didn’t know were possible. For the first time in my life, he makes me wonder if I could have a happily ever after…with him.
