“... Jesus was alive. He was here and now. Not merely a sense of His presence, but in His essential person He was here. All this lonely countryside I had plodded through in rebellion was filled with Him—the Communicator, the Word Himself. In my introverted self-pity, I had missed Him, Who was everywhere.” Christianity was not a dead philosophy—Jesus was alive from the dead and Lord of all. People from every level of society entered into a mystical union with Him and became Christian meditators. Their secular lives were transformed into a Holy of Holies. These very ordinary people who meditated under the Lordship of Jesus and in the power of the Holy Spirit walked through life radiating peace with singing hearts. They were in union with the infinite, personal God. As they meditated, they consciously drew upon His wisdom, love, and power. Over the last two decades, there has been a renewal of Spirit-led Christianity throughout the Church. Thousands of ordinary Christians are realizing that meditation, as taught in the Scriptures, is the responsibility and privilege of every disciple of Jesus the Lord.
