Rodimus commands the starship the Lost Light in search of the legendary Knights of Cybertron, but a detour brings a new crew member: Fortress Maximus, who's spent the last five years in a coma after suffering traumatic injuries at the hands of the Decepticon called Overlord on the penal colony Garrus 9. Maximus tries to deal with his new situation...but it isn't easy.
