Willie Hall has lived in the shadow of his older superstar brother, Cooper, for most of his life. Add to that being the middle child, he was well-known for being a loner. He was content to run his bar, Willie’s Tavern, and live out his life as a bachelor. Suddenly, his life is turned upside down by childhood friends. Everything he had originally thought about his future was put to the test. He never predicted he would see her or to experience emotions so fiercely. Erica Thompson was a gypsy soul, all thanks to her mother moving her around constantly as a kid. When her grandmother dies unexpectedly, she is brought back to the one small town that always felt like home. A place she could settle down. She begins to re-evaluate how she handles her life and what she wants from it. Two old friends make her wonder if she had it all wrong, one of which steals her heart all over again. Does Willie have it in him to overcome his insecurities and secrets to let love in? Or is he destined to hide out and be a bachelor for life? Can Erica get past all the defenses and convince him to take a chance on her? Will she stay in Dewart or is her gypsy life calling too strongly to ignore?

Marcie Shumway is a small-town girl, born and raised in Maine. She resides with her high school sweetheart on a family owned farm just miles from where she grew up. Her hubby and their four furbabies are her first loves, but they are followed closely by her writing, apple pie, and chocolate. Marcie started writing short stories in middle school for her classmates to enjoy. They were always love stories with happy endings and spurred her dream of being a published author. Chasing that dream as an adult, she continues to write stories for her readers to love. An avid reader herself, Marcie thrives on the books of her favorite authors and when not writing, can be found curled up in her favorite spot with a good book in hand.
