Snow White’s classic fairytale is brought to a new light in war-torn 1860s America. Lillian Clark, having grown up on her father’s prosperous planation in Virginia, has wanted for nothing all her life. She spends her days frolicking outside with her friends and learning how to become a proper lady from her stepmother, whom she loves dearly. However, when a decision is made for her by her father and stepmother, one she greatly dislikes, her life no longer seems quite so easy. As time passes and the country erupts into the Civil War, Lillian’s lifelong beliefs and perceptions are tested. Will her family be able to endure these trials? Or will they be torn apart by the war, not throughout their country, but within their own hearts?
