Something’s going on with Brother. Brother has changed. He talks tough. He walks tough. When Sister asks him a question, he just says, “Huh?” When Mama asks him what his plans are, he says, “I’m going to shoot some hoops with Cousin Fred.” That isn’t exactly true. Brother is going to shoot some hoops with big, tough, scary Too-Tall and his bad-boy team, the Junkyard Dogs. Too-Tall has taken a mysterious shine to Brother and thinks he’ll make a great point guard. But basketball isn’t the only pastime Brother takes up when he falls in with the wrong crowd!
