Part of Series

Mysteries solved. Lines drawn. Targets painted. Billie Keller and her team are no longer just hunters. They are officially prey. What started as suspicion has turned into hard truth. Inside Genovary, the genetics powerhouse experimenting on magicals, something ugly is growing. Someone is twisting magic itself, reshaping Fire, Lightning, and Force into weaponized hybrids the team has dubbed Elementals. Think magic with a body count. Now winter has arrived early in DC as frost magic has entered the equation. That is not a good sign for anyone with a pulse. The problem is proof. No matter how hard they push, it keeps slipping away. The team has tried everything. Warrants. Break-ins. Extremely illegal cargo hijacks. Even Billie’s personal least favorite tactic, a double date that put her across the table from Derik Cote, the man she is certain is pulling the strings. If only certainty counted as evidence. And now there are signs Derik has moved beyond magic alone. Living beings are being fused with machines. Cyborgs. For what purpose, nobody knows. Yet. Taking him down will require every skill the team has. Izzy’s double life on the magical dark web. Anya’s infiltration talents. Caleb’s steady command. Kalani’s deep magical knowledge. Deacon’s ability to become anyone, anywhere. And Billie herself, whose magic is growing stronger by the day, along with her collection of dangerous artifacts. Good thing they are not alone. The Pixie Council has decided the city is worth saving, and when pixies pick a side, things tend to explode in interesting ways. When magic threatens the city, the country, or the world, the FBI’s Magical Threats Division answers the call. They would not have it any other way. Threat Icestorm is packed with magic, martial arts, high-stakes mayhem, sharp humor, and just enough snark to keep things interesting. From Onyx, of course. Scroll up and join the team today!

I’m TR Cameron, science fiction author. I’ve been an avid consumer of the genre since I was six, I think, when I broke the seal on my Dad’s copies of the Asimov Foundation books. It’s been all downhill since then. I have a day job that I love most days, and writing is pretty much my only consistent hobby. When I find time that’s not already filled with my wife, my daughter, my writing, my work, or dodging the affections of our clowder of cats, you can find me playing video games (currently Dishonored 2 – I’m a little behind the times on this one), watching things (Marvel movies, American Gods, Agents of Shield, Justified, The Expanse, Gotham), playing board games, or, naturally, reading. My favorite authors in Sci-Fi are David Weber, Jean Johnson, John Scalzi, CJ Cherryh, and the giants: Asimov, Pohl, Bear, Heinlein, etc. I read a lot in other genres too, and am a big fan of Matthew Woodring Stover, Michael Anderle, Jim Butcher, and I could go on and on and on. If I had to choose one favorite, though, it would be Stephen R. Donaldson, whose Thomas Covenant series was transformative for me. Probably my pie-in-the-sky dream for my writing career is that someone would make a movie or television show of my books and I could be a part of the production. Sure, unlikely, but a clowder-dodger can dream, right? My more practical dream is that I can keep writing and both entertaining and connecting with my readers for years and years to come.
