Set in the mid 2000's in LA, Beau Bridges is fresh out of high school, which for him is wonderful. Beau's time in high school was far from fun. He was bullied mercilessly by the popular kids and spent most of his time secluded with few friends. There was of course, another reason that Beau was despised in high school. Beau happened to be gay and being gay at that time even in LA, was still looked down upon. But as most young men his age, Beau dreamed of one day moving away and being with a man who loved him for him. He had also picked out a man for that purpose. Drake Bell was a classmate of Beau's in high school. Unlike Beau, he was well liked, athletic and seemed to have a good life. Beau had a crush on Drake but was reluctant to ask him out. For one thing, he did not know whether Drake liked men or not. Still, the pair keep in touch after high school and slowly Beau comes to know of Drake's big secret - he's gay too. As the friendship slowly blossoms into love, will society accept the young couple? Only time will tell.
