I write young adult novels with bits of history and brush strokes of romance. I also write poems and short stories, but novels are my passion. My literary influences are Tolstoy, Gogol, and Dostoevsky. Though my writing style could never be compared to theirs, it is their work that is my inspiration. I strive to skillfully capture the interest and attention of the reader by creating a story that is captivating and well written. Perfecting my craft will be a life long journey. My rating system for books will probably vary from many, but I'll give a quick description below. 5 stars is reserved for my very favorite authors and books-Tolstoy, the Bible, Dostoevsky, etc. So not many books get 5 stars from me. 4 stars are for books that I love and would highly recommend to everyone. They grab me and hold my attention so much that I just can't put it down. 3 stars are for books that are good, I liked them well enough, but didn't grab me and hold me and make me put off cooking dinner. (I like when books do that!) Under 3 stars and I just won't comment.
