Tracy C. Gold loves bringing characters to life. Two of her books were published in 2021. ”Trick or Treat, Bugs to Eat” is a picture book from Sourcebooks eXplore illustrated by Nancy Leschnikoff. It’s about a bat trick or treating for bugs. “Everyone’s Sleepy but the Baby,” is a board book from Familius, illustrated by Adele Dafflon. It was inspired by Tracy's daughter, who hates sleeping as much as Tracy loves it. "Hide and Seek, Nuts to Eat" and "Call Your Mother" are Tracy's next two picture books. Tracy also writes short stories, essays, poems, and novels. Her work has been published in several magazines and anthologies. When she’s not working on her own writing, she helps other people become better writers as a freelance editor and teacher. Tracy earned her M.F.A. in Creative Writing and Publishing Arts and taught writing at the University of Baltimore. She also learned a lot about publishing as an intern for literary agent Carrie Pestritto. She earned her B.A. in English from Duke University. Tracy loves playing with her toddler and hanging out with her horse and dog, both rescues. You can find out more about Tracy at tracycgold.com or by following her on Twitter @tracycgold.
