In Merriam-Webster dictionary Triggered is defined as; caused to feel an intense and usually negative emotional affected by an emotional trigger. As humans we have the ability to tie our senses to a memory. Whether the memory is good or bad, when we experience those sensory responses, it triggers us. For some, it may even cause them to feel as if they’re reliving those moments all over again. Meet Richland, Wynn, and Madisyn Landry, the children of Bishop St. Martin, and his wife, Elizabeth Landry. The siblings all have experienced their fair share of trauma while living under the same roof as their father. The things done behind closed doors in the Landry house was enough to leave one Landry child after the next triggered and mentally abused. Richland Landry, who is the oldest of the trio and the only boy, was the first to break away from his father’s manipulative hands. Although Richland is a very successful principal, he still has his vices and demons he deals with on the daily. Lastly, the baby of the bunch and the most sensitive, Madisyn Landry. Being the youngest caused Madisyn to be oblivious to a lot of things happening around her. It wasn’t until her twelfth birthday that Madisyn understood just how sick her father was. Unlike her siblings, Madisyn decided to stick with her father, but not because she wanted to. Opening Pandora’s Box caused Madisyn to take a fall from grace as well, but unlike her siblings, Madisyn crashed hard. These siblings all have one thing in common, and the wild thing is they don’t even know it. It’s not until the grim reaper comes to collect that all those secrets are spilled, and skeletons are let out of the closet.
